GOVERNANCE OF 104.9

Ours is a member based station managed by the CEO and governed by a Board of directors elected annually at the AGM. No more than 3 representatives from any one church may serve at the same time, with all members needing to be nominated by financial members and being financial members themselves.

The 104.9 Board is 8 members strong with three of our former members re-nominating  - thank you Henk Bruins from JCC (Ongoing Chairman) Wayne Kerber from St Martins Lutheran Church (Ongoing Vice President) and Alaister Armstrong from JCC ( Ongoing Treasurer). We welcome our six new board members - thank you Major Steve Black from the Salvation Army, John Wright from the Salvation Army, Peter Whiting from Mt Gambier Baptist, Rob Berlin from Mt Gambier Baptist ( Incoming Secretary, taking up his wife's former role) and Ernest Ralton from JCC. The late Richard Coonan from Mt Gambier Baptist had also nominated and continues to be missed by us all.

There is still place on the board for 4 more members so please consider contributing to extending God's Kingdom through this service.  In particular we could use an IT specialist, someone with legal skills and someone in Retail, and someone with marketing and sales expertise

Our thanks go to Sally Romain for her energetic support as a Board member in 2007 and 2008, faithful prayer warrior and Volunteer Co-ordinator for all she has give to the Board these past few years. Also to Michelle Berlin who has been our secretary for the last two years and served in assisting in the office when she has been able, as well as Russell Lindsey who has given as much time as his new business allowed to serving on our board for 2 years as well.

The las tAGM of South East Christian Broadcasters was held on Tuesday 25 November 2008 at St Martins College Chapel at 7.30 pm. It had a better attendence than previous years and some positive reflections on both the year past and the year ahead were made by the Chairman Henk Bruins, Treasurer Alaister Armstrong and CEO Belinda Tilley.
