New 3D Bible Animation

A new Christian animation project has been launched to revamp bible story cartoons for kids. Moving Word Pictures Limited is an innovative exciting new animation company that seeks to produce 3-D cartoons for sales and broadcast through traditional Christian markets and emerging distribution channels both domestically and internationally.

A few years after sharing the dream at ACB Conference at Manly Beach, Moving Word Pictures began officially a year ago when founders Rob Molhoek (Chairman of 107.3 Life FM Gold Coast), Ian Harrowell (former Director of Animation and Lead Animator with Walt Disney Australia) and David Gibbons (formerly with Adventist Media) incorporated the operation.

This Easter at AGMF 07 in Toowoomba, they launched the Real Heroes Animation Project. The project involves producing 13 stories to start with, bringing the bible and its values to life in a fresh and unorthodox way through the latest animation technology.

"We believe there is a gap in the market for our style of animation and for the 9-12 year old target market. Organisations like Hanna Barbera and Focus on the Family have been animating for years but the style and genre has been quite traditional. We hope to bring the stories to life in an irreverent, fun, dynamic and cheeky way, a kind of cross between Ren & Stimpy, Futurama and Disney," says Mr Molhoek.

The company seeks to start production of cartoons from July 1st 2007, assembling a team of animators under the direction of Ian Harrowell - an experienced Disney animator and director - based in the Penrith districts in the outer western suburbs of Sydney.

The company is currently seeking shareholders, hoping to raise $3million over the next couple of months. A prospectus has been lodged with ASIC and the initial share offer closes May 31st.
