PRAYER : A CALL TO ARMS!
Our ministry brings us into direct conflict with the "God of this age" and we can only stand firm in our ministry and advance His Kingdom if we first win the battles in prayer. We are therefore calling for prayer partners and intercessors to consider committing themselves to this ministry and preparing the way for our message to go out. As well as standing with us to guard the gateway God has entrusted to us.
We are currently looking for soemone to lead our prayer ministry and to find a suitable prayer time.
Once per month on a Saturday morning (the 2nd Saturday of the month) we meet at Umphertson Sinkhole for Braekfast, a team catch up and tiem fo prayer. Please join us.

"HOW OFTEN SHALL I PRAY?
As often as the language of prayer is in my heart; as often as I see my need of help; as often as I feel the power of temptation; as often as I am made sensible of any spiritual declension or feel the aggression of a worldly spirit.
In prayer we leave the business of time for that of eternity, and intercourse with men for intercourse with God."
The above is an extract from a Handbill/flier used by a quiet and zealous business man named Jeremiah Lanphier who took up an appointment as a City Missionary in down-town New York in 1857. He began a lunch time prayer meeting for business people, intended to give merchants, mechanics, clerks, strangers, and business men generally an opportunity to stop and call upon God amid the perplexities incident to their respective avocations.

SPECIAL PRAYER FOR THE PERSECUTED CHURCH
EMERGING GLORIOUS FROM THE REFINER’S FIRE
By Elizabeth Kendal
We are often reminded that we are living in ‘the last days’ – the days between the resurrection of Christ and his return. We know these are the days of the Church, mission and the Holy Spirit, as well as days of tribulation and trial.
But lost to most is the fact that these ‘last days’ are also the days of the Church’s sanctification. Stories of tribulation and persecution generally feature the Church as victim and can cause us distress. Stories of Holy Spirit-empowered mission generally feature the Church as victor and can encourage us to feel strong, excited and expectant. More/

Reviving the church Prayer Meeting
“We shall never see much change for the better in our churches in general until the prayer meeting occupies a higher place in the esteem of Christians.” wrote Charles Spurgeon in “Only A Prayer Meeting.”
The regular meeting of members of a congregation for the express purpose of uniting in earnest prayer is becoming rare in the average church. Many churches no longer even schedule prayer meetings, and in those churches that do, typically less than 10% of the members would participate.
In all too many churches, prayer meetings have become dull, cold and lifeless, lacking in Biblical focus and missionary purpose.
THE BAROMETER OF OUR SPIRITUAL LIFE
Erroll Hulse in “The Vital Place of the Prayer Meeting” writes: “You can tell with a fair degree of accuracy what the church is like by the demeanor or substance of the weekly prayer meeting. Is there genuine evangelistic concern? If so, it will be expressed in the prayers. Is there a heartfelt longing for the conversion of unconverted family members? If so, that is sure to surface. Is there a world vision and a fervent desire for Revival and the Glory of our Redeemer among the nations of the world? Such a burden cannot be suppressed…Intercession in the prayer meeting will soon reveal a loving church that cares for those who are oppressed and weighed down with trials and burdens. Those bearing trials too painful or personal to be described in public will nevertheless find comfort in the prayer meeting, for there the Holy Spirit is especially at work.”More/

RADIO’s Power
"I've thought a lot about the fact that radio waves cross barriers that we can never pass.
And on those waves ride a message of grace and hope that many people in remote parts of the world have never heard."
